Walking Bee's Story

Walking Bee Flowers is owned and operated by Kirtlye Lohof, with the support of her husband and family. Kirtlye's farming roots date back to the late 1800's, when both sides of her family homesteaded and started farming and ranching in eastern Montana.  Over the years, Kirtlye's grandmothers, Kay and Verna, imparted a love of growing flowers and caring for the land, which led to cultivating an urban homestead and flower farm at her and her husband's home in Kalispell, MT.  The name Walking Bee flowers was inspired by the cattle brand that was passed on to Kirtlye and her sister by their Grandmother Kay.

 

Using organic and sustainable practices to grow cut and edible flowers is our focus and we take pride in providing fresh, vibrant, and responsibly grown blooms to our community.
